The
Atelier du Vieil Apt proposes its fine earthenware:
plates, dishes, soup tureens, vases, cups... unique
pieces for their color, design or decoration, a
profusion of shapes and shades, of patterns and
invention to be discovered…
Between tradition…
The
earthenware workshops of the Apt country were founded in the middle
of the 18th century, in the heart of Provence, in the Luberon hills
area, a region of precious clay.
Inspired
by shapes taken from the goldsmiths, the artifacts
are made in all shades of soil and ochre.
Yellow ranges from light yellow, ochre, to monks
habit brown.
Green is fresh almond and olive tree leaf.
White has the jasmine glaze.
The veined earthenware, composed of various clays,
presents in its mass colored veins producing in
depth
the aspect of marble.
> Our colors palette
… and modernity
Luc and Benoît,
the two earthenware makers of this uncommon workshop present this
unique and traditional production, the imaged work of old artisans,
